KANEM deployment

KANEM follows a programme from the results framework to the beneficiary payment. Every project is linked to its programme and cooperation framework, right up to the SDG targets. The design studio chains the problem tree, theory of change, results framework, indicators and budget. Each stage of the life cycle — start-up, quarterly monitoring, baseline and endline studies, evaluations, closure — goes through its deliverables and the successive sign-offs of the designated roles.

In the field, data collection forms work offline: submissions are sent when the connection returns and the server re-validates each one. Values feed the indicator tracking table (IPTT) and the global dashboard, with no double counting, broken down by sex, age, disability and area, right down to the map. KANEM Pocket puts each project sheet, meetings, approvals and notes on your phone.

On the operations side, finances are kept by donor: budgets with commitment control, procurement with segregation of duties, advances, double-entry SYSCOHADA accounting with cost allocation, cash, payroll configurable by country, stock and logistics. The institution profile — ministry, local government, project management unit, UN agency, NGO, donor — sets the vocabulary, the results chain and the reports put forward.
